台灣雙嬌詹詠然莊佳容在美網賽女雙4強戰靠默契排除一開局連2發球局面臨6個被破發球危機，6-2、7-6（7-5）擊敗第14種子對手匈牙利絲札瓦捷克烏莉洛娃。這場紐約大捷使得兩人來到個人生涯、同時是台灣首次的美網女雙冠軍戰。女雙冠軍戰將在台北時間10日凌晨12時進行，衛視體育台直播。
詹莊證明兩人年初闖進澳網女雙冠軍戰並非「意外」。今年是兩人生涯首季攜手職業女網賽，她們先在年初澳網奪下亞軍，法網下滑8強止步，溫布頓網賽16強掛點，然後於擅長的硬地美網賽靠一路磨合出來的默契率先拿到第1張女雙冠軍戰門票。
由於今年少數擊敗詹莊的兩個組合女雙第1種子辛巴威布蕾可美國修珀、第2種子美國雷蒙澳洲絲托索提早出局，使得台灣雙嬌在冠軍戰的前景大好。
詹莊的冠軍戰對手會是第6種子捷克皮絲契可澳洲史圖布絲與第7種子俄羅斯沙芬娜法國迪琦的勝方。單就世界排名與今年職網戰績，詹莊都優於這兩個組。
詹莊若拿到美網冠軍將是四大賽史（成人組）首度有台灣球員奪冠紀錄，兩人將合得40萬美金，相當於1324萬台幣，若失手，決賽獎金也達662萬台幣。
詹詠然擁有世界女單五十名左右的身手，加上有她擁有「無懼」的特質，使她在後排底線的攻擊靈活得屢讓對手無法窺出她的移位戰法。就因為她的雙打潛力十足，「詹媽」劉雪貞透露：「有些大賽場邊會有大球星的教練、經紀人觀賽，釋出有意與詹詠然搭配的邀請。」據了解，雙打也在行的前球后辛吉絲就很「甲意」詹詠然。
莊佳容常有福至心靈的網前截擊，這是她的招牌，也是她與詹詠然第一年搭檔職業女雙就「轟動武林」的重要元素。
此外，莊佳容在這次美網有好心情、好戰情，部分原因在於北體學長王建民的鼓舞。由於美網賽在建仔的洋基大本營紐約舉行，莊佳容得以到洋基球場看學長投球見證他的十七勝，當然她所欽佩的建仔學長也二度在賽後和她相見歡。

Chan-Chuang Continue Run, Reach Women's Doubles Final

Yung-Jan Chan and Chia Jung Chuang of Taipei are by no means an overpowering doubles team. Even on first serves on the hard courts out at the Open here, Chuang often stays back, preferring to battle from the baseline than attack the net behind her delivery. But what they are is two extremely solid all-court players who work beautifully as a team.
Seeded No. 5 here, they took on the team of Agnes Szavay of Hungary and Vladimira Uhlirova of the Czech Republic, and despite having to save six break points in their first two service games of the match, Chan-Chuang prevailed 6-2, 7-6 (5) to reach their first US Open doubles final.
Szavay-Uhlirova, seeded No. 12 here, started strong and looked like a highly formidable team, more comfortable than their opponents attacking the net. Szavay, just 18, is an up-and-coming star in the women’s game. She started the year ranked No. 189 in singles but had shot up by the Open to No. 31 and reached the quarterfinals here in singles, falling to Svetlana Kuznetsova, the No. 4 seed. While Uhlirova is a doubles specialist, she has teamed extremely well with Szavay all year. They reached the final of Doha in the first event they teamed up in, and in the second event they played as a team, they came away with the title in Budapest.
But in Chan-Chuang they ran into an even better combination. While neither Chan or Chuang can match Szavay’s success in singles (although Chan, ranked No. 66, comes close) they’ve been one of the top teams in doubles all year. They reached the final of the Australian Open in January. They’ve also won four tournaments this year on three surfaces: two on grass and one each on hard courts and clay.
They also, taking today’s match as a barometer, are extremely opportunistic. While Szavay failed to capitalize on any of their six break points in the first set, Chan-Chuang got two breaks in the first set off just three break-point opportunities.
The second set opened with all four players losing their serve. But from that point on both teams held until the tie-breaker. In the breaker, Chan and Chuang fell down 2-4, but got the mini-break back. At 5-4 they scored a second mini-break on a winning passing shot by Chuang. Chan-Chuang never looked back.
Chan-Chuang will next take on the winner of the other women’s semifinal between Kveta Peschke and Rennae Stubbs vs. Nathalie Dechy and Dinara Safina. A big paycheck awaits Chan-Chuang. The winner of the doubles title at the Open gets $400,000, the losing team gets $200,000.
